Cuba's Julio La Cruz has beaten gutsy Team GB boxer Joshua Buatsi in the last-16 stage of the 2015 World Championships.
It was a big ask for Brit Buatsi, who had made it to this stage by impressively overcoming Hyeongkyu Kim on Wednesday.
Two-time world champion La Cruz was on the back foot in the early stages as the London-born fighter used his power to upset the Cuban.
La Cruz was given a 10-9 on all three of the judges' scorecards in the first, but Buatsi had the Cuban on the ground in the second when he unleashed a powerful left hook.
La Cruz recovered to emerge victorious on all of the scorecards once again, but the second seed did not want to engage with the powerful Buatsi in the third as he danced away knowing that he was ahead.
