Great Britain duo Abigail Edmonds and Louisa Sawers have made it through to the semi-finals of the kayak double 500m event.
The pair, who were in heat one for the contest today, started off well but doubts began to creep in after they recorded the second-slowest time of 1:46.564s.
Sweden topped the qualifying times with 1:44.473s, while Russia finished the circuit in 1:45.710s to clinch the second fastest time ahead of the semi-finals.
Romania and Australia will also fight it out for a place in the final following their successful times today, while Cuba missed out after finishing the course in 1:46.587s.
