Michael Clarke has claimed that Australia are fully prepared for bowling at the in-form Jonny Bairstow ahead of the third Ashes Test at Edgbaston.
Bairstow, who averages over 100 in the County Championship with Yorkshire this season, was recalled for the third game of the series in place of Gary Ballance, but Clarke insists that the tourists have plans in place for the returning batsman.
"I think he's a really good player, hence his opportunity to get another chance for England. He's an attacking player, likes to play his shots. He has performed well in county cricket this year," the Australian skipper told reporters.
"We have looked at footage in the lead up to this Test match. We know where we have to bowl, we just have to have the discipline to put the ball there consistently and again - execute our skills.
"Like all the batters, if he gets on top, he's an aggressive player. He's been batting well so he's full of confidence. I would hope that the attack he's about to face is a little bit different to what he's faced in county cricket though."
Bairstow, who has played 14 Test matches, averages 26.95 in the longest format.
