Debutant Pat Cummins hit the winning runs as Australia levelled their two-match Test series in South Africa 1-1.
The 18-year-old played Imran Tahir's delivery through mid-wicket for four to allow the visitors to reach their target of 310 with two wickets to spare.
Earlier in the day, former Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting made 62 runs before being caught off the bowling from Morne Morkel.
Michael Clarke and Michael Hussey soon followed Ponting back to the pavilion, before Mitchell Johnson and Brad Haddin steadied the innings with knocks of 40 and 55 respectively.
Johnson was still at the crease when Cummins struck the match-winning shot.
