Australia beat South Africa by five wickets in a rain-affected Twenty20 international in Durban.

Australia have beaten South Africa by five wickets in their rain-affected second Twenty20 international in Durban this evening.

The weather delayed the start of the match to such an extent that both sides could only fit in seven overs apiece, with South Africa setting Australia 81 to win.

The tourists got off to a fine start in their run chase, blasting 21 runs off the opening over against Lonwabo Tsotsobe's bowling.

However, the tide turned in South Africa's favour in the very next over as Hashim Amla caught Aaron Finch off the bowling of Kyle Abbott to leave Australia on 26-1.

David Warner continued to dominate the South African attack, but at the other end the hosts had more joy, dismissing Shane Watson for two when Abbott caught the batsman off Wayne Parnell's bowling.

They finally got the big wicket in the fifth over as JP Duminy dismissed Warner, who had made 40 off 16 deliveries, before also getting the wicket of Glenn Maxwell in the same over.

George Bailey was the next to go for the tourists when he was run out, but Australia produced a big final over to get the 15 runs required to reach their total, with the winning ones coming courtesy of a Parnell wide.
