West Indies have reached 189-4 at tea on day three of the first Test against Australia in Roseau, leaving them 19 runs ahead.
Having resumed on 97-3 following the lunch break, Marlon Samuels and Shane Dowrich continued their fourth-wicket stand in the afternoon session.
The duo confidently knocked the ball around the ground, both reaching their half-centuries midway through the session while closing in on a 150-run partnership.
Josh Hazlewood made sure that the pair fell just short of the mark though, as Dowrich edged a delivery to Shane Watson shortly before the interval, ending his innings on 70.
Jermaine Blackwood added six before the end of the session, while Samuels will resume on 71 not out.
