Afghanistan have won their first match of this year's Asia Cup after beating Bangladesh by 32 runs in Fatullah.
Afghanistan were put in to bat first and made 254-6 from their 50 overs, but Bangladesh failed to reach that total and were bowled out for 222 after 47.5 overs.
Asghar Stanikzai smashed an unbeaten 90 and Samiullah Shenwari hit 81 for Afghanistan, as they added 164 for the sixth wicket.
Bangladesh offered a spirited fightback with Mominul Haque hitting 50, Nasir Hossain making 41 and Naeem Islam adding 35.
Ziaur Rahman hit three sixes in his 41 from 22 balls, as their last two wickets added 57 to earn them a bonus point, but Afghanistan held on for a historic victory.
