Trevor Bayliss has described Adil Rashid as a "good option" for England in this summer's Ashes after including the Yorkshire spinner in the squad for the first Test against Australia.
The 27-year-old is uncapped in the longest form of the game, but scored 69 runs and finished with bowling figures of 4-55 in a recent one-day international against New Zealand.
The England coach told Sky Sports News: "We want to give ourselves the option to play two spinners if we get down there [to Cardiff] and the conditions suit two spinners.
"To be quite honest, I don't really know him. I obviously watched a lot of the one-day series on TV and he played very well. He can spin the ball both ways and that is a good option to have."
The first Test begins in Cardiff next week.
