England batsman Ian Bell has admitted that he wants to enjoy his side's Ashes success before thinking about the winter clash with Australia.

A 3-0 series win was wrapped up at The Oval on Sunday evening, despite the fact that the home side fell 21 runs short of victory as the umpires called time due to bad light.

However, with the reverse fixture right around the corner, Bell, who has now won four Ashes series, is keen to savour his the Three Lions' summer triumph.

"If you are getting carried away or looking too far ahead this game can turn round and bite you," he said, after the fifth and final Test ended in a draw.

"But we'll enjoy the victory we worked hard for over the five games and we'll enjoy the next few weeks.

"Any time you win the Ashes is right up there, and the away series was always going to be number one but, on an individual note, to have contributed by scoring three hundreds makes it a special one."

Bell was named as man of the series for the Ashes.
