England's Joe Root has made his first Ashes century during the second Test at Lord's this afternoon.
The opening batsman returned to the crease on day three with an overnight total of 18.
The 22-year-old moved onto 63 at lunch before finishing on 97 at tea as the hosts took control of the match.
He then reached his tonne with a boundary off the bowling of fellow youngster Ashton Agar.
