Peter Siddle has said that Australia need to get quick wickets on day four of the fifth Ashes Test.

England finished today's play 247-4 in reply to the tourists' first-innings total of 492-9 declared.

The 28-year-old bowler told Sky Sports News: "I think obviously the runs are down but we'd have liked a few more wickets. It was a tough day for us because they took their time and batted slowly.

"We know tomorrow morning that if we can get on top quickly then we can still get them out for a low total. We've just got to have a good crack. We still need six more wickets and it could take us until the afternoon but we want them as quick as we can.

"It was a bit slow and holding up. The short balls weren't getting up so it was hard work. We had to be patient and I don't think we built as much pressure on the batsmen as we'd have liked."

England lead the series 3-0.
