The ECB will reportedly offer Ben Stokes and Alex Hales new contracts, despite the pair still being under investigation for a brawl that took place in Bristol last month.
Footage emerged via The Sun on September 28 appearing to show vice-captain Stokes fighting two men outside a nightclub, leading to his arrest.
Stokes was released by Avon and Somerset Police after questioning but could still face action, while Hales - with the Durham player at the time of the incident - is also awaiting any further punishment.
Both men have been suspended by the ECB and their spots in The Ashes squad for this winter's tour Down Under remain in doubt.
According to Sky Sports News, however, Stokes and Hales are to be handed new contracts on Friday, with the announcement being delayed from Wednesday.
Stokes is said to be in line to receive a central contract, while Hales will retain his incremental deal.
