Australia take two more wickets before tea to leave England chasing 504 in the third Ashes Test.

Australia dismissed England duo Michael Carberry and Joe Root before tea as they close in on a series-clinching victory in the third Ashes Test match in Perth.

The tourists are 95-3 at tea on day four at The WACA, which means that they trail by 504 runs with four sessions, if needed, left to play.

Having lost Alastair Cook to the first ball of England's second innings, Carberry scored just 31 runs as he fell to lbw off the bowling of Shane Watson, who had earlier hit a century for the hosts.

Australia then strengthened their control of the contest as Brad Haddin superbly caught out Root, after the England batsman chased a wide ball and got a nick on Mitchell Johnson's delivery.

The Yorkshireman reviewed the decision, but it did not change the outcome as Root was left to walk away having racked up 19 runs.

England ended the session with Kevin Pietersen (24) and Ian Bell (6) at the crease.
