The tourists, who have already retained The Ashes, posted a meagre total of 98-6, which Australia easily chased down with seven wickets and 30 balls to spare.

England's day started badly when Danielle Wyatt fell for a second-ball duck to Holly Ferling off the final ball of the opening over.

At the end of the powerplay, England were 27-2 after Ferling had also dismissed Sarah Taylor (8) cheaply.

Charlotte Edwards (28), Arran Brindle (26*), Lydia Greenway (15) and Amy Jones (14) were the only members of England's batting lineup to reach double figures.

Danielle Hazell impressed with the ball for England, conceding just 11 runs and taking the wicket of Elyse Villani (16) during her four-over spell.

However, Wyatt's awful afternoon continued, as she was taken for 22 off her two overs, while Kate Cross was also expensive.

Meg Lanning topscored for Australia with 42 off 28 deliveries, while Alyssa Healy hit an unbeaten 37.

The three-match T20 series is now tied, with the final match to take place in Sydney on February 2.
