England have built their total to 591 runs in the morning session on day three at the Oval.
Ian Bell reached 235 runs before he was dismissed off the bowling of Suresh Raina, after Streesanth had already taken James Anderson early for 13 runs and Mahendra Singh Dhoni caught Eoin Morgan behind for just one.
Ravi Bopara replaced the Middlesex batsman and is currently unbeaten on 44 runs from 75 balls, while Prior has made a quick start to reach 18.
The run-rate was well over four runs per over prior to lunch, but time will tell if England plan on batting far into the afternoon session as the clouds move in.
