Bowler Stuart Broad will almost certainly miss the remainder of England's one-day international series against India after being diagnosed with a torn shoulder muscle.
Broad sustained the injury during England's tied match with touring India yesterday, leaving the field after just nine overs of play with the complaint.
"Bad news on the shoulder: torn a muscle. Gutted," the 25-year-old confirmed on Twitter.
The injury may also rule Twenty20 captain Broad out of England's two international matches against the West Indies later this month.
With deputy skipper Eoin Morgan also missing through injury, one-day captain Alastair Cook has been tipped to take over the responsibility.
