India bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami have put on a partnership of 87 to frustrate England's fielders in the second session of day two of the first Test match between the teams.
England enjoyed a fine spell of bowling shortly after tea as they collected four wickets for as many runs to rip through the lower order, but the last pair have helped India to 433-9.
Jimmy Anderson finally took the wicket of the stubborn Murali Vijay for 146 before the interval, with Ravindra Jadeja (25), MS Dhoni (82), Stuart Binny (1) and Ishant Sharma (1) all quickly following.
However, the final pair secured their appearance in the final session of the day with Shami on 39 and Kumar just four runs away from a half-century.
