England coach Trevor Bayliss has said that his side have an "exciting future" following an impressive summer.
Although England lost 3-2 in the one-day international series to Australia, they triumphed by the same scoreline in the Ashes series and Bayliss believes that there is plenty to be optimistic about.
"The development of some individuals has come a long way," Bayliss told BBC Sport.
"There are some exciting young players in the England set-up and it will be an exciting future.
"Some of the individual players who have stepped up and taken their game to another level have been outstanding."
England now have a short break before facing Pakistan in the UAE in October.
