England bowler Stuart Broad has admitted that he is still trying to find his rhythm following a four-month spell on the sidelines.

Broad returned to the squad for the Tri-series with Australia and India after taking time off to have surgery on a long-standing knee problem, and he concedes that it has been difficult to find his form.

"Four-and-a-half months is quite a decent lay-off," the seamer, who has failed to take a wicket in the first three games of the Tri-series, is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "You grow in each game and I think a bit of extra pace comes with rhythm and match feeling.

"I've got a decent amount of experience, but I've bowled probably one too many bad balls in my spells and in one-day cricket now you can't afford to do that.

"I've bowled more of those than at my best, but I know as a player I can go through these little periods where I might not pick up wickets for a couple of games, then I seem to get a handful."

England take on India in Perth tomorrow.
