Chris Woakes has not given up hope that he will represent England this summer.
The bowler, who was regarded as a key player by former head coach Peter Moores, has not played for his country since the winter because of foot and knee injuries.
However, having recently returned to action with Warwickshire, the 26-year-old has revealed that he would like to feature in the upcoming one-day series against Australia.
"Now it's up to me to put in performances for Warwickshire and keep myself in the frame," he told PA
"Fingers crossed if my knee holds up over the next few weeks I will be available for the one-day series and I'll be trying my best to catch the eye.
"The guys are enjoying themselves, playing good attacking cricket and backing each other. I'd love to be a part of it again."
Woakes has made 34 ODI appearances for England, from which he has taken 47 wickets at an average of 34.25.
