Alastair Cook has insisted that he will not step down as England's one-day international captain after seeing the team lose again to Sri Lanka.
The Three Lions ended their ODI series with an 87-run defeat in Colombo on Tuesday, giving the hosts a 5-2 victory overall.
Cook's poor form with the bat continued as he made just 32, but the 29-year-old believes that he is still the right man to lead the side at next year's World Cup.
"I would feel very wrong to walk away from it," he told Sky Sports News. "If it's taken away from me, I'll feel very disappointed, but I certainly won't be giving it up."
The England and Wales Cricket Board confirmed back in September that Cook would be the captain for the 2015 World Cup.
