England bowler David Willey has emerged as a major doubt for the one-day series with Sri Lanka after being ruled out for six weeks with an abdominal injury.
The 26-year-old has established himself as one of England's first-choice bowlers in limited-overs cricket and played in each of his nation's six matches at the T20 World Cup earlier this year.
However, an injury sustained during Yorkshire's County Championship match with Surrey is likely to keep him out of the series, which gets underway on June 21.
If he is left out of the squad for the five fixtures, he could potentially return in a T20 fixture against the same opposition at the Rose Bowl on July 5.
The all-rounder has taken 19 wickets in 13 ODI matches and recorded 18 dismissals in 11 outings in T20 fixtures.
