David Collier, the ECB chief executive, will retire at the end of the season.

The chief executive of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), David Collier, will leave his role at the end of the season.

Collier has been in the role for a decade, having been appointed in October 2004, but is expected to retire in September.

Collier's reign has seen many changes in the game, and he oversaw England's first Ashes series win in Australia for almost 20 years in 2011.

However, his decision to sign a partnership with Allen Stanford was not as successful, as the Texan businessman was later sentenced to 110 years in prison for fraud.

The ECB are expected to make an announcement on Sunday.
