England comfortable in afternoon session

England are in control of day one in the third and final Test against South Africa after taking five wickets by tea at Lord's.

Steven Finn proved to be the standout player for England, who are in danger of losing their number one Test status if they lose to South Africa, after taking three wickets in two overs in the morning session.

By lunch, the home side had dominated the field but it wasn't without controversy as Jacques Kallis was sent packing, despite replays showing that his glove was not on the bat when he was deemed to have gloved the ball from a bowl from Finn, which was caught by Matt Prior.

England managed just one wicket in the afternoon session, which was courtesy of James Anderson, who bowled out AB de Villiers - believed to be one of the cricketers to whom Kevin Pietersen sent text messages mocking a number of his England teammates.

Despite just the one wicket for the home side, England remained in control as the players left the field for tea on 151-5.
