England wrap up a one-day series win against the Netherlands with a game to spare after prevailing by six wickets in Sunday's second fixture.

Numerous records tumbled on Friday as England put on one of the most devastating batting performances in the history of international cricket.

However, it was a different story in the second game, the clash initially being delayed by rain and the contest being reduced to 41 overs.

After winning the toss, Netherlands opted to bat first and successfully posted a target which gave England something to think about later in the day.

Scott Edwards was the pick of the batsmen, scoring 78 runs from 104 balls, while Logan van Beek hit a quickfire 30 at the end of the innings.

David Willey and Adil Rashid were the pick of the bowlers, recording figures of 2-46 and 2-50 respectively, as England were set a target of 236.

Netherlands would have hoped to secure the early dismissal of Jason Roy for the second match in succession, but they would have no such success on this occasion.

Roy and Phil Salt put on 139 runs for the first wicket in 17 overs before Roy was out for 73, with Salt hitting a 54-ball 77 before he also fell to Aryan Dutt.

Eoin Morgan was dismissed for a seven-ball duck, following on from his first-ball nought on Friday, and Liam Livingstone added just four before his wicket left England on 177-4.

However, Dawid Malan and Moeen Ali ensured that England got home with minimal fuss, Malan contributing a calm 36 and Moeen hitting five fours and a maximum on the way to his 42.

The target was reached with 29 balls remaining, and England will be hoping to wrap up a whitewash series win when the two teams meet again on Wednesday.
