England have stuck with an unchanged Test squad for their upcoming tour of India, meaning no place for Alex Hales and James Anderson.
All-time record wicket-taker Anderson will miss out on the opening Test in Jajkot early next month as he continues his recovery from a damaged shoulder.
Hales is absent from the travelling party having opted against touring to Bangladesh this month - England winning the first of seven Tests in nine weeks by 22 runs in Chittagong, with the second to follow in Dhaka on Friday.
Despite being without paceman Mark Wood, there is no room for another seamer in an unchanged 16-man squad from the two-Test series in Bangladesh, while Jake Ball remains a part of the fold after being added for the current tour.
England squad: Alastair Cook (capt), Moeen Ali, Zafar Ansari, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Jake Ball, Gary Ballance, Gareth Batty, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler (wk), Ben Duckett, Steven Finn, Haseeb Hameed, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes
