ECB chief executive David Collier has confirmed that Andy Flower will stay on as England team director.

There had been speculation that Flower could leave once the fifth Ashes Test in Sydney was over, but he confirmed that he wanted to stay to lead the team into a new era.

That wish has now been granted, with Sky Sports News reporting that Flower's future is secure.
