Chris Jordan admits that England's seamers could have enjoyed more success on the first day of the second Test against the West Indies.

Chris Jordan has admitted that there were positives and negatives to take from England's performance on the first day of the second Test against the West Indies in Grenada.

The seamers worked well on the pitch early in the day to reduce the hosts to 129-5, but an unbeaten 94 from Marlon Samuels helped the West Indies recover to 188-5 at the end of the day and Jordan, who took 2-40, believes that England could have had more success.

"The good thing is that we didn't let them get away too far," Jordan told BBC Sport. "We bowled reasonably well in patches but we maybe could have made the batsmen play a little bit more with the ball swinging as it did. All in all, a reasonable day.

"If we group enough balls, keep being aggressive, those wickets will come. We have to be patient and hopefully we can get our rewards."

The hosts will resume with Samuels (94*) and Denesh Ramdin (6*) at the crease on day two.
