Former England coach Peter Moores has been appointed as coaching consultant with Nottinghamshire.
Moores, 52, joins Notts for the remainder of the 2015 season less than two months after being sacked by England.
Speaking to the club website, Moores said: "I'm looking forward to adding something to the group during the business end of the season.
"Trent Bridge is a great place. I look at it as being one of the great cricket grounds in England and, living only 20 minutes down the road, I know the significance cricket has in the area."
Notts director of cricket Mike Newell felt that it was a "fantastic opportunity" to bring Moores in.
"We need to improve our four-day performances quickly and Peter, with his vast experience and proven reputation as a coach, can help us do that," Newell said.
"Having such a knowledgeable and respected individual on our doorstep, who is available for the rest of the season, is a fantastic opportunity for us to take."
Moores has been in charge of England twice - between 2007-2009 and 2014-2015.
