Kevin Pietersen has insisted that he is excited at the prospect of turning out for Surrey on a more regular basis.
Ever since the end of the winter's Ashes tour of Australia, the 33-year-old has been at the centre of controversy regarding his international career, which the ECB decided to end for reasons that have not yet been made public.
However, speaking after a training session ahead of the new County Championship season, the batsman has revealed his "love" for playing for Surrey at The Oval.
"I've always loved playing at The Oval and I love playing for Surrey. The dressing room has a good bunch of guys. The management structure and the whole structure of the club interests me and excites me," he told the club's official website.
