England have secured a one-day series win over Bangladesh with a 132-run victory in the second fixture in Mirpur.

On Wednesday, the tourists were reliant on a resilient unbeaten century from Dawid Malan to overcome their opponents, but it was a different story two days later.

Jason Roy hit an astonishing 18 fours on his way to 132 to set England on their way to 326-7, before Sam Curran took two wickets in the first over of Bangladesh's reply to ensure that the home side were never in contention to reach their target, eventually being bowled out for 194.

Although Phil Salt (7), Malan (11) and James Vince (5) all fell without significantly troubling the scorers, it mattered little as Roy dominated the strike and the Bangladeshi bowlers.

His fifty and century came off 54 and 104 balls respectively, before he departed for 132 from 124 deliveries with his side on 205-4 off 35.4 overs.

Jos Buttler, who had been playing second fiddle to the opener, hit 76 off 64 balls to advance England to 260, before Moeen Ali (42) and Curran (33) hit five sixes between them during the closing stages of the innings to put their side in a commanding position.

Bangladesh were aware that they required a fast start to their run chase but each of Litton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto found themselves back in the pavilion with first-ball ducks off the bowling of Curran.

Curran soon had three wickets in eight balls as Mushfiqur Rahim (4) departed in the third over, and only a patient 79-run partnership for the fourth wicket which took 18.2 overs put some respectability on the score.

To Bangladesh's credits, Tamim Iqbal (35), Shakib Al Hasan (58) and Mahmudullah (32) all made notable scores, but their team were 167-7 after 38 overs, still 160 runs short of the target.

Adil Rashid was the key bowler during the middle half of Bangladesh's innings, ending with figures of 4-45, and Curran also took 4-52 and ended Bangladesh's innings at 194 in 44.4 overs. body check tags ::
