Graeme Swann has insisted that Adil Rashid will have been left "gutted" by the manner of his dismissal during England's 178-run defeat in the second Test to Pakistan earlier today.
Rashid, who scored a maiden Test half-century in the second innings, looked to have guided England to an unlikely draw alongside first Mark Wood and then James Anderson.
However, with a little more than six overs left to survive, the Yorkshireman drove Yasir Shah's delivery straight into the hands of Zulfiqar Babar at cover. Rashid's was the final wicket, which had stood for almost four hours, to fall, meaning that Pakistan have taken a 1-0 series lead with one Test left to play.
Speaking about that moment, former England spin-bowler Swann told BBC Sport: "Adil Rashid has been magnificent all afternoon but it was one moment of madness which cost him.
"A couple of balls earlier he turned down a run, so to play that shot he just had one of those moments. There'll be no consoling him in the dressing room. He'll be gutted."
The final Test will get underway in Sharjah on Sunday morning.
