England spinner Graeme Swann is reportedly eyeing a return to cricket in two months after successfully undergoing surgery in America.
The 33-year-old was withdrawn from the Three Lions tour of New Zealand after feeling discomfort in his right elbow.
A statement from the ECB said: "England and Nottinghamshire offspinner Graeme Swann has undergone an uncomplicated operation on his right elbow to excise excess bone formation that had re-accumulated following his previous operation four years ago.
"Swann will now commence a six-eight week rehabilitation and back to bowling programme before returning to competitive cricket early in the summer."
Swann has featured in 50 Test matches for England, taking 212 wickets.
