Jonathan Trott says that England's patience paid off as they took four late wickets against India.

Jonathan Trott has said that England deserved the late wickets against India in the third day of the fourth Test after keeping the pressure on the hosts.

England went five hours without a wicket, before Graeme Swann trapped Virat Kohli lbw for the first of four wickets in the final session.

Trott told Sky Sports News: "They played unbelievably well for five hours, and credit to them for that.

"But we stuck to our guns, kept the pressure on them and eventually we got a breakthrough and were able to push on. You've just got to trust yourself and your team-mates that when you get the chance you're able to take it, which happened.

"Five hours without a wicket, then four wickets in an hour, that's what can happen, a fantastic advertisement for the game."

India ended the day on 297-8, 33 runs behind England's first-innings total.
