James Vince and Moeen Ali have both been recalled to the England squad for the fourth Test match with India.
England hold a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series, but a heavy defeat at Trent Bridge and concerns over injuries and form have resulted in a 14-man group being selected for the next contest in Southampton.
Vince has not represented England in the Test arena since the tour of New Zealand earlier this year, but the Hampshire player returns for the game at his home ground.
Moeen has also been missing since the spring, but the all-rounder is brought back into the fold after producing a knock of 115 in a T20 fixture and an innings of 219 during appearances with Worcestershire over the past week.
England head into the match with a doubt over Jonny Bairstow, who suffered a finger injury in the third Test, while Ollie Pope's place is also under threat.
Squad in full: Root, Ali, Anderson, Bairstow, Broad, Buttler, Cook, Curran, Jennings, Pope, Rashid, Stokes, Vince, Woakes
