Warwickshire and England all-rounder Chris Woakes has admitted that he is unsure when he will be fit enough to return from a foot injury.
Woakes suffered a metatarsal stress reaction during England's disastrous World Cup campaign to prevent him from touring the West Indies, and despite revealing that he was making good progress, he was unable to set a date for his comeback.
"It's hard to put a timeframe on when I'll make my comeback," the 26-year-old told reporters. "It depends on how it reacts when I start bowling in the next week or two.
"It has been quite slow progress, but it is coming on quite well. It has been full weight-bearing for about three weeks and I started running this week."
Woakes will be hopeful of securing a spot in the Test squad for the two-match series with New Zealand in May.
