Chief executive Mark Arthur says that Yorkshire will not suffer major repercussions from yesterday's washout at Headingley.

Yorkshire chief executive Mark Arthur has spoken of his frustration following yesterday's washout at Headingley.

No play was possible on the first day of the second Test match between England and New Zealand as the rain poured down early on in Leeds.

"Disappointment is the word," he told Sky Sports News. "It's disappointing for everyone at Headingley, for the supporters and for the cricketers.

"The forecast for the next three days is very good and we're very fortunate that we have a Bank Holiday weekend so it's a chance for the public to turn up and enjoy some cricket."

Despite finances being tight, the 10,000 fans will get refunds on their tickets, or the option of attending next year's Test match with Sri Lanka.

Arthur said that it will not have a massive financial bearing on the club and hopes that the favourable weather forecasts are accurate.

"There's very little financial implication other than the disappointment and the fact that we will be remembered for missing out on the first day," he added.

England lead the two-match series 1-0.
