England have wrapped up a 31-run victory against India at Edgbaston on the fourth morning of their gripping first Test.
With the contest delicately poised at the end of Friday's session, the tourists were soon bowled out for 162 in pursuit of England's 194.
India were on 110-5 overnight, but James Anderson removed Dinesh Karthik (20) with the sixth ball of the day, before skipper Virat Kohli was dismissed by Ben Stokes for 51.
Stokes was also responsible for ending Mohamed Shami's (0) short spell at the crease, and the all-rounder went on to seal the victory as his bowling led to Hardik Pandya (31) being caught, ending with a figure of 4-40.
However, the 27-year-old is to miss the second of the five Tests at Lord's as his court case for affray begins in Bristol on Monday.
