England have moved into a 2-0 series lead over Pakistan courtesy of a four-wicket victory in the second ODI between the two sides at Lord's this afternoon.
Joe Root led the chase for the hosts with a fourth consecutive half-century in the 50-over format, eventually falling for 89 with England just 11 runs away from victory.
Pakistan had earlier set England a target of 252 to win, with Sarfraz Ahmed the star of the show for the tourists with 105 runs from 130 balls.
Imad Wasim (63*) also registered a half-century, but there was a lack of support from elsewhere as Pakistan were bowled out with the penultimate ball of the innings.
The opening trio in particular disappointed for the tourists, managing just one run between them to leave Pakistan 2-3 at one stage.
Chris Woakes and Mark Wood were the pick of the bowlers with three wickets each for England, the former also claiming a run-out, while Liam Plunkett and Adil Rashid also weighed in with two and one wickets apiece.
England's chase got off to a nightmare start when Jason Roy was dismissed on just the second delivery, but they soon set about eating into Pakistan's lead.
Eoin Morgan backed Root up with 68 off 80 balls, while Moeen Ali (21*) and Woakes (7*) saw the hosts over the line as they finished on 255-6 with more than two overs to spare.
