All-rounder Gareth Berg has agreed a new 12-month contract with Hampshire.
The 34-year-old only arrived at the Ageas Bowl at the start of the ongoing 2015 campaign, but he has impressed enough since then to secure himself extended terms.
"I'm delighted to have signed a new deal with the club," he told the club's official website.
"Myself and the club perhaps didn't realise how much cricket I was going to play, but there has been a role for me within the team and hopefully I can peruse that again next year. I've enjoyed every moment of playing for Hampshire so far and long may it continue."
Berg is the leading wicket-taker in the County Championship this season, with 30 dismissals at an average of 29.
