South Africa thrash India in their ODI encounter, thanks to hundreds from openers Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla.

India have slumped to a 134-run defeat against South Africa in their second ODI encounter in Durban.

Set a target of 281 runs to win from 49 overs, the visitors were dismissed for a lowly 146 having made use of just 35 overs, as Dale Steyn and Lonwabo Tsotsobe ripped through their batting order.

Steyn, who removed opener Shikhar Dhawan for a duck, finished with figures of 3-17 from seven overs, while Tsotsobe also dismissed three batsmen for 25 runs.

Fellow bowlers Morne Morkel and Vernon Philander also contributed to India's downfall, with the former finishing with figures of 2-34 from six overs and the latter posting 1-20, having removed MS Dhoni for 19 runs.

Earlier in the day Quinton de Kock scored 106 off 125 balls and Hashim Amla made 100 off 160 as the openers put the home side in the driving seat.

De Kock was the first to depart in the 36th over when he swept Ravichandran Ashwin's delivery straight to the man at square leg.

AB de Villiers came and went in the next over as he was stumped by Dhoni off the bowling of Ravindra Jadeja for three runs.

Amla's wicket fell with five overs left in the day when he nicked Mohammed Shami's delivery through to Dhoni just after he had reached three figures.
