A Zimbabwe batting collapse handed New Zealand a 34-run win in the only Test match between the two sides.
Zimbabwe had looked to be on the verge of an historic victory at the Queens Sport Club in Bulawayo but eventually fell short.
They started the final day on 61 for 2, chasing 365, and were boosted by a fine 117 from Brendan Taylor.
It was the batsman's third century in seven Test matches but his dismissal after tea started a dramatic collapse.
Zimbabwe were 265 for 3 before Taylor departed and eventually folded to 331 all out.
They lost their last five wickets for 28 runs to hand New Zealand victory.
