New Zealand are on the verge of their first Test series win in 30 years over Pakistan, who need to find 368 runs on the final day in Hamilton.

New Zealand are edging closer to their first Test series win over Pakistan in 30 years after ending day four of the second Test with a 368-run lead in Hamilton.

An unbeaten knock of 102 from Ross Taylor extended the Black Caps' advantage, while Tom Latham and Kane Williamson contributed with 80 and 42 runs respectively.

Captain Williamson declared on 313-5 late on day four, clearly confident that New Zealand can skittle out their opponents on the final day of the Test.

Sami Aslam and Azhar Ali opened Pakistan's second innings, but they could muster just one run in three overs before stumps, leaving the team with a mountain to climb on day five.

New Zealand won the opening Test of the two-match series in Christchurch by eight wickets.
