Yorkshire have completed a deal to bring Northamptonshire seamer Jack Brooks to Headingley Carnegie.
The England Lions bowler announced his intention to leave Northants at the end of this season to help his international ambitions.
Yorkshire, who were promoted to Division One of the County Championship earlier this month, have agreed a three-year deal with the 28-year-old.
Brooks told the club's website: "I'm absolutely elated to be joining Yorkshire who are one of the biggest clubs in the country."
Director of cricket Martyn Moxon said: "We've been looking to strengthen our squad to challenge in the First Division of the County Championship in 2013 and believe that Jack brings a great deal of quality to our existing seam attack."
Brooks has taken 118 first-class wickets at an average of 28.95.
