Hazratullah Zazai is the latest player to hit maximums with all six deliveries in an over.

Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai became only the third person to hit six sixes in an over in a Twenty20 match, and the sixth player overall to do it in all forms of cricket.

Playing for Kabul Zwanan against Balkh Legends on Sunday in the country’s Premier League, Zazai took Abdullah Mazari for 36 runs in a single over.

Press Association Sport takes a look at the others who have achieved the feat.

Sir Garfield Sobers, Glamorgan v Nottinghamshire, 1968

Sobers became the first batsman in history to hit six sixes in an over during a County Championship game.

Glamorgan’s Malcolm Nash was the unlucky bowler when he was taken for the maximum number of runs by the Nottinghamshire captain.

The first five balls of the over were dispatched cleanly by the West Indian and the sixth was carried over the ropes by a fielder.

Herschelle Gibbs, South Africa v Netherlands, 2007

In the 2007 World Cup, Herschelle Gibbs became the first player to 36 in a single over in an international match.

In the fourth over, the South African hit Dutch leg-spinner Daan Van Bunge over his head four times and hit the other two on the on-side to achieve the milestone.

Gibbs remains the only player ever to score the maximum in an over in a One Day International.

Yuvraj Singh, India v England, 2007

The Indian all-rounder had been fired up after an argument with Andrew Flintoff, and had already scored two sixes, when he faced Stuart Broad.

He tore into the young English bowler, hitting him for six sixes to all areas of the ground.

One delivery was even dispatched outside the stadium, and England lost the match by 18 runs.

Ravi Shastri, Bombay v Baroda,  1985

The Indian all-rounder not only became the second player to score six sixes in an over, but he also reached the fastest double hundred ever.

In a 1985 Ranji Trophy game, facing Tilak Raj, Shastri dispatched an over for the maximum amount of runs on the way to his record.

His double hundred came in just 123 balls, and 113 minutes, however, the match ended in a draw.

Ross Whiteley, Yorkshire v Worcestershire, 2017

Despite Ross Whiteley’s six sixes in an over for Worcestershire against Yorkshire at Headingley, they fell short of the required total in the T20 Blast.

The runs came in the 16th at the expense of left-arm spinner Karl Carver, who also bowled a wide.

The left-handed batsman was unable to convert his runs into a win for his team when he fell for 65 runs, and the Midlands side lost by 37 runs.
