Durham bowler Chris Rushworth has admitted that he is "over the moon" to have been named PCA Player of the Year.
The 29-year-old picked up the gong at a ceremony in London last night.
Rushworth was rewarded for taking 83 wickets at an average of 20.61, which took him to the top of the individual standings in the County Championship.
"I am over the moon," the ECB's official website quotes Rushworth as saying. "It is a massive achievement. For myself this award is massive and the biggest individual award in county cricket.
"To be voted for by fellow players and your peers is a very privileged moment and one I'm very proud of. Hopefully it's the next step to progressing towards further honours."
Elsewhere, Surrey's Tom Curran was named Young Player of the Year.
