Yorkshire sign Australia internationals Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell for the 2015 season.

Yorkshire have confirmed the blockbuster signings of Australia internationals Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell for the 2015 season.

Finch spent part of last term at Headingley and will be available in all formats when he returns from his Indian Premier League commitments in May.

Maxwell, who has established himself as one of the most valuable Twenty20 players in the world, will only feature in the T20 Blast after his own IPL campaign.

Yorkshire coach Jason Gillespie is thrilled by the double coup, saying in a statement: "As a club we're absolutely thrilled to bits to be able to secure the services of two very exciting players in world cricket.

"I spoke to Glenn a little while ago and just enquired as to whether he would be interested in representing Yorkshire and outlined how well he could fit into the dressing room and the role we wanted him to play.

"Aaron is a great leader, he has a lot of leadership and captaincy experience and having a player like that in the dressing room gives the younger players the opportunity to learn off him."

Finch is Australia's T20 captain, but is yet to play Test cricket. He has scored five one-day international centuries in 40 matches and averaged 48.50 in County Championship cricket for Yorkshire in 2014.

Former Surrey and Hampshire overseas player Maxwell earned three Test caps in the subcontinent two years ago and, along with Finch, is in Australia's squad for the World Cup next month.
