An England and Wales Cricket Board disciplinary panel has found Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria guilty of two charges relating to spot-fixing.
The offences relate to an event which took place in 2009 when Kaneria was representing Essex in a 40-over contest against Durham.
It has been ruled that Kaneria "knowingly induced or encouraged [then teammate] Mervyn Westfield not to perform on his merits" in the match.
Westfield was jailed for four months in February after admitting to spot-fixing in the contest.
Kaneria was also found guilty of bringing cricket into disrepute and both players are expected to be sanctioned by the ECB later today.
