Pakistan have axed Shoaib Malik, Imran Farhat and Adnan Akmal from their 15-man squad for the Asia Cup.
The decision comes after Pakistan's 4-0 one-day series whitewash at the hands of England in the United Arab Emirates.
Sarfraz Ahmed has been recalled as wicketkeeper at the expense of Akmal, while opening batsman Nasir Jamshed also returns.
Australia's Dav Whatmore is also expected to be announced as head coach, taking over from Mohsin Khan, who took charge as interim coach for the England series.
The Asia Cup ODI tournament, which takes place in Dhaka from March 11 to 22, features Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
