Pakistan have beaten Sri Lanka by 29 runs in the first Twenty20 of their two-match series in Colombo.
Ahmed Shehzad, Shoaib Malik and Umar Akmal hit 46 runs each to carry Pakistan to 175-5, a total that Sri Lanka's chase never had the measure of.
Milinda Siriwardana and Chamara Kapugedera played decent innings from the lower middle order, but the tourists were always favourites to defend their score, having had the hosts at 19-3 in the fourth over.
Sohail Tanvir finished with figures of 3-29 from his four overs as the hosts fell to their seventh loss in eight T20 matches at the Premadasa Stadium.
